Dialogues of the Carmelites

Performing the role of Marquis de la Force was a great experience, adding the 42nd role to my repertoire. Teresa Ingrilli gave a wonderful performance as Blanche de la Force and the whole vocal cohort of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music directed by Jane Davidson performed with energy and integrity. Huge credit goes to David Barnard for musical preparation and Richard Davis conducting a wind orchestra of MCM students. I really enjoyed the experience of performing this opera about the Carmelite nuns in the Abbotsford convent, filled with the memory of the nuns who lived there for many years.
